1. Our Commitment

We collect your data to build a direct connection with you—the fans. We use this information to make sure you’re the first to know about merch drops, new music, and shows in your area. We do not sell your personal information to third-party data brokers.

2. Data Collection & Usage

By providing your name, email, phone number, or location (City/Zip), you agree that Black Pontiac may use this information for:

  • Direct Marketing: Sending news via email or SMS regarding merch, tours, deals, and exclusive content.

  • Localized Announcements: Using your City/Zip code to send you alerts only when we are playing or shipping near you.

3. Advertising & Audience Matching

To help us reach people who like our music, we participate in "Audience Matching" programs on platforms like Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Google.

  • Custom Audiences: We may upload a "hashed" version of your email or phone number to these platforms. "Hashing" turns your data into a unique code so the platform can identify your account without actually "seeing" your private contact info.

  • Lookalike Audiences (LAL): We use our fan list to help Meta and Google find "lookalike" users—people with similar interests to yours—so we can introduce our music to new fans more efficiently.

  • Retargeting: We may use this data to show you relevant ads for a show, content, or merch drop you might have missed.

4. Third-Party Platforms

Your data is processed through secure industry-standard tools (like Squarespace/Google Sheets) and social media ad Managers. These platforms are only permitted to use your data to provide services to Black Pontiac.

5. Your Choices & Opt-Out

You have full control over your data:

  • Unsubscribe: Every marketing email includes an "Unsubscribe" link.

  • Platform Controls: You can opt-out of seeing interest-based ads by adjusting your Ad Preferences in your Meta or Google account settings.

  • Right to Deletion: To have your data manually removed from our marketing database, contact us at blackpontiacmusic@gmail.com.
